Initial account activation
You must secure your new Microsoft identity using 2 Methods:
- Authenticator App
- Your Phone
Go to https://outlook.office.com
You should see this screen:
Type in your username (email address).
Action Required means that you must secure your account with an Authenticator App. Install the App on your mobile phone and have it ready.
Once the Authenticator App is installed, click Next to continue.
Open the Authenticator App.
Choose Work or school account è Scan QR code.
Scan the QR code using Microsoft Authenticator or your favorite app.
After scanning the QR code, you should receive an approval request on your phone. Type in the number you see on your screen to verify.
The last step is to add your phone number as Method 2 of 2. Click Next.
Enter your phone number and keep the option Receive a code checked. Do not use Call me as it may fail.
Enter the code you just received.
Click Next.
That’s it. All done!
